Waste Hauler Contracts

The City of Denton is seeking waste hauler contracts for the City of Denton Landfill. The contract will be for a period of 24 months, starting from October 1, 2026, and ending on September 30, 2028. The City of Denton will be limiting the total number of tons allowed on all third-party disposal contracts, aggregated to 150,000 tons total. Waste haulers may continue to use the City of Denton Landfill for excess volume at the published external gate rate. The minimum bid on the available tons for this round of contracts to be accepted by the City of Denton will be $40.00 per ton. • The contract will be awarded based on the highest tonnage price, credit rating/payment history, and established frequency of use. • Each contract will be individually negotiated with each of the selected contracted partners. • The City of Denton will not be holding any pre-proposal meetings concerning this request. • All questions must be posted in IONWAVE and all submitted will be answered and posted in IONWAVE. • The City of Denton intends to award the fewest number of contracts under this request, not to exceed three (3) contracts total.
