Furnish and Delivery of One (1) or more Thirty-Five Foot Heavy-Duty Low-Floor Front & Mid Door Body Accessible 12 Year Transit Type Hybrid Diesel-Electric Buses

The County of Maui is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of one or more thirty-five foot heavy-duty low-floor front and mid-door body accessible 12-year transit type hybrid diesel-electric buses. The buses must meet the minimum specifications outlined in the bid document, including a Cummins B6.7-280H diesel engine, an Allison eGen Flex Max hybrid system, and a lithium titanate (LTO) battery energy storage system. The buses must also be equipped with a kneeling system, a multiplex system, and a remote monitoring system. The successful bidder will be required to provide a comprehensive warranty and maintenance program for the buses. • The buses must be delivered within 335 calendar days from the official commencement date. • The buses must be equipped with a regenerative braking system and a diesel particulate filter. • The buses must meet all current applicable Federal EPA clean air standards. • The buses must be equipped with a fire suppression system and a smoke detection system. • The buses must be equipped with a public address system and a passenger information system. • The buses must be equipped with a security camera system and a digital video recorder. • The buses must be equipped with a GPS tracking system and a vehicle health monitoring system.
