Description
The City of Atlanta is seeking a qualified medical services firm to provide 24/7 occupational medical services, including post-employment offer physicals, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and drug and alcohol testing for safety-sensitive positions. The selected firm will be required to provide services at an AFRD designated City of Atlanta facility for year-round exams and must be able to conduct exams/tests within ±15 business days of a member’s birthday. The firm will also be required to provide a board-certified physician and/or mid-level healthcare provider and must have experience in fields relevant to the fire service. Some of the key services that will be required include:
* Post-employment physicals and drug testing
* Fitness-for-duty evaluations
* Random drug and alcohol tests
* Medical review officer (MRO) confirmatory reporting
* Consultative/medical review/testimony
* Ergonomic assessment/onsite job analysis
* Special examinations (e.g., hazmat/respirator fit evaluations)
* Medical record keeping and reporting
* Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including DOT and OSHA regulations.
