RFQ for CMAR Services

Yancey County Schools is seeking a construction management firm to provide Construction Management at Risk services for multiple renovation projects throughout the district. The selected firm will begin actively participating in the Schematic Design Phase and will provide services customary to the Construction Management at Risk delivery method. The projects include renovations to Mountain Heritage High School, Cane River Middle School, East Yancey Middle School, and Burnsville Elementary School. The district's construction budget is approximately $11M, and the work is expected to be completed over multiple construction phases due to each school being occupied during the 2026/27 and 2027/28 school years. • The selected firm will provide pre-construction phase services, including estimating, scheduling, and project accounting. • The firm will also provide construction phase services, including general administration, reporting/communication, and construction contract bidding/procurement. • The firm must have experience providing Construction Management at Risk services for K-12 projects and must be fully licensed and certified for the type of work to be performed in the State of North Carolina. • The firm must also provide a detailed project schedule, a project budget, and a description of their approach to quality assurance and control.
