Market Research Notification: Prince George’s County Fiscal Year 2026 – Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department (PGFD) – Structural Firefighting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department (PGFD) is conducting market research to identify qualified manufacturers and distributors of structural firefighting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that meets the operational, safety, and durability needs of PGFD personnel. The County is seeking information on the ability to provide LION V-Force PPE, including manufacturing and delivery capacity, lead times, customization, and pricing structures. The goal of this RFI is to gather industry input to support the development of a future competitive solicitation. • The PGFD has identified LION V-Force structural firefighting coats and pants as the preferred PPE for its personnel. • The County is seeking information on the ability to provide on-site measurement services, free alterations, and support for annual recruit classes and department-wide replacement cycles. • The RFI responses will be used to finalize specifications and prepare a procurement strategy for structural firefighting PPE. • The PGFD anticipates outfitting career, volunteer, and recruit personnel with the selected PPE. • The County is requesting RFI responses for LION PPE only, with detailed technical specifications provided for the 2025 PGFD structural firefighting ensemble.
