Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services for two facilities: the removal and replacement of a parking lot at 6535 Corporate Drive, Johnston, IA, and the removal and replacement of existing retaining walls at Exit Door and connection of Auditorium Stoop to the nearest sidewalk at 6450 Corporate Drive, Johnston, IA. The selected firm will provide design services, including geotechnical investigation, survey work, and construction administration. The contract will be a modified ConsensusDoc 803, and the firm will be required to have professional liability insurance in the amount of $2 million.
• The firm will provide a lump sum price for the design services, including all reimbursables.
• The firm will provide a breakdown of the proposed fee, including hourly rates and anticipated hours by position.
• The firm will participate in bi-weekly conference calls during the construction period.
• The firm will provide field observation reports with photos for each site inspection.
The project schedule indicates that the execution of the designer's contract will be in the week of 12/8/25, and the close-out will be in May 2026 to July 2026.
