Description
The NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission is seeking a technical project manager consultant to provide implementation and risk management support for the agency's ongoing modernization initiative. The consultant will work within the Information Technology Division to support, troubleshoot, and maintain the operations of critical software used in the licensing and enforcement units. The scope of work includes collaborating with internal and external teams, monitoring and assessing project and vendor progress, managing vendor accountability, identifying and managing risks, and providing actionable insights and recommendations to IT Management. The consultant will also be responsible for preparing and presenting regular progress reports, facilitating clear and consistent communication, and promoting adherence to Agile best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely achievement of project milestones
• Monitor and assess project and vendor progress and performance
• Manage vendor accountability for deliverables, timelines, and outstanding action items
• Proactively identify, analyze, and manage risks and issues that could impact project delivery
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to IT Management based on project data trends, performance indicators, and emerging challenges
