HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is seeking a qualified contractor to provide chemical waste pick-up and disposal services. The contractor will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical waste generated by SMCO facilities. The chosen contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations governing hazardous waste management and ensure that all services provided are in line with the highest standards of safety and environmental protection. The key services required include: • Scheduled pick-ups of chemical waste from SMCO facilities • Proper categorization of chemical wastes as hazardous or non-hazardous • Packaging and labeling of waste in compliance with CA guidelines • Transportation of waste in vehicles that meet regulatory requirements • Disposal of waste at licensed and approved facilities • Maintenance of detailed records of all waste pick-ups and provision of regular reporting on waste management activities • Training of SMCO staff on proper chemical waste management practices
