Description
The California Energy Commission seeks a qualified consultant to provide technical assistance related to fossil‑gas systems, clean‑fuel pathways, and pipeline de‑commissioning. Work will be performed on an as‑needed, time‑and‑materials basis and will include scenario modeling, gas forecasting, rate/revenue analysis, and the production of visualizations such as Tableau dashboards and GIS maps. The contractor must also manage contract administration, invoicing, progress reporting, and work authorizations for any subcontracted tasks.
• Develop multiple analytical scenarios for clean‑fuel adoption and pipeline de‑commissioning, evaluating cost, equity, reliability, and GHG impacts.
• Perform gas‑supply forecasting, revenue‑requirement modeling, and feasibility studies for hard‑to‑electrify customers, including hydrogen and biomass‑derived fuels.
• Deliver technical reports, presentations, dashboards, and GIS‑based visualizations; provide monthly progress reports, invoices, and manage subcontractor work authorizations.
