This solicitation seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive snow‑plow and sanding services for the Westbrook Armory in Maine. The contractor must clear snow and sand designated areas promptly after snowfall events, maintain clear access to gates and parking lots, manage snow piles in approved locations, and comply with equipment, material, and environmental specifications. The contract runs for an initial 12‑month period with up to four one‑year extensions, totaling a possible five‑year term. Bids are submitted electronically through the state’s VSS portal.
• Perform snow removal and sanding when precipitation ≥ 2 inches; clear parking lots by 6:00 am.
• Use Maine DOT‑approved sand‑salt mixture and Cal‑Calcium Chloride pellets for ice on concrete.
• Provide a minimum fleet (¾‑ton plow truck, truck‑mounted sander, front‑end loaders, dump truck) and ensure all personnel pass federal background checks.
