Description
The State of Illinois, Department of Human Services, is seeking a vendor to replace approximately 288 institutional sprinkler heads with quick response sprinkler heads at the Ann Kiley Center in Waukegan, IL. The vendor will be responsible for removing the old sprinkler heads, installing the new ones, refilling the sprinkler systems, and conducting inspections for leaks. The vendor must also provide quick response spares and sprinkler wrenches for each sprinkler system. The contract is expected to end on June 30, 2026.
• The vendor must be certified in accordance with NFPA 13 and NFPA 25.
• The vendor must be licensed, bonded, and insured.
• The vendor must remove construction debris and other waste material generated by the sprinkler replacement.
• The vendor must conduct a site visit before submitting a bid.
• The contract includes a mandatory pre-bid meeting on May 19, 2026.
