Request for Qualification for Capital Improvement Project; Construction Material Testing and Environmental Support Services for the Raleigh Convention Center Expansion

The City of Raleigh is seeking one or more qualified firm(s) with which to contract for construction materials testing and special inspection services, and environmental investigation, monitoring, and construction-phase environmental compliance services for the Raleigh Convention Center Expansion. The project is located on a tight, fully developed urban site in downtown Raleigh and is expected to last approximately 36 months. The City is looking for firms with experience in similar projects and the ability to work in a team-based project delivery approach. • The project involves two distinct scopes of service: construction materials testing and special inspections, and environmental investigation, monitoring, and construction-phase environmental compliance services. • The selected firm(s) will be required to provide properly trained and certified lab and field technicians, and to develop and provide a special inspections program for the project. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities, and to make no selection if the submittals are deemed to be outside the fiscal constraint or not in the best interest of the City.
