Revised TOS No. 22-083 - Manchester Jr. Arts Center Project

The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering (BOE) is seeking a consultant to provide geotechnical engineering services for the Manchester Jr. Arts Center Project. The project includes construction of a new single-story building, site improvements, and seismic design. The consultant will be responsible for providing supplemental geotechnical field investigation and preparation of a supplemental geotechnical data report. The report will include shear wave velocity testing, site class determination, and other relevant information. The project schedule is approximately 5 weeks, and the consultant will be compensated on a lump sum basis. • The project requires the consultant to perform a seismic cone penetration test (SCPT) to measure the shear wave velocity of the subsurface materials. • The consultant will prepare a geotechnical summary report, including a SCPT location plan, log of the SCPT, and results of the shear wave velocity testing. • The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements, and the consultant must comply with the City's Business Inclusion Program. • The consultant may be required to explain or defend any data presented and assist the City in any future claims from contractors.
