Description
The Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department is seeking bids for the lease of vacant parish property for the purpose of installing a wireless communication facility (cell tower). The initial term of the lease shall be five (5) years with four (4) five-year options to renew. The successful bidder will be responsible for constructing and maintaining the tower.
Key points to consider:
* The lease is for a portion of raw, unimproved property on Estelle Playground for the construction of a monopole and other appurtenant structures.
* The bidder must demonstrate financial ability and technical experience in the wireless communications field.
* The bidder must provide insurance as required by the general conditions and the form lease.
* The bidder must obtain written approval from the parish for any subleases for co-location purposes with other communications entities.
* The bidder must share proportionate sub-lease revenues with the parish, receiving a minimum of 40% of such revenues.
