Request for information - Juneau Family Housing

The United States Coast Guard is seeking information for the potential lease and eventual acquisition of sixty-one housing units in Juneau, Alaska. The units should be composed of twenty-seven three-bedroom units, twenty-one four-bedroom units, ten two-bedroom units, and three one-bedroom units. The housing units must meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) family housing guidelines and adhere to all local, state, and federal codes and standards. The lease would be for one year with up to four option years to extend the lease term, and the expectation is that the option to purchase would be executed during the second year of the lease. The Coast Guard prefers that all housing units be co-located within a single subdivision integrated within a larger community. Some key points to consider are: * The developer's ability to expand the number of Coast Guard homes to one hundred thirty * Compliance with Housing Quality Standards established by Housing and Urban Development * Proximity to support services such as accessible public transportation, schools, fire and emergency services, and grocery stores * Inclusion of floor plans, room types, square footage, amenities, upgrade options, electrical specs, plumbing specs, and potential disclosure requirements * Contiguous housing units with easements for access to supporting utilities and roadways * Potential inclusion of a day care center and/or recreation center to support USCG personnel
