The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a qualified contractor to remove an existing 100 kW diesel standby generator and associated automatic transfer switch at the Castaic California Highway Patrol Weigh Station, then supply, install, and commission a new 100 kW diesel generator with a 400‑amp ATS, related electrical work, concrete pads, and site improvements. The work includes all labor, materials, disposal, permits, testing, and documentation, and must comply with state environmental and safety regulations.
• Removal, disposal, and replacement of a 100 kW diesel generator and ATS, including a new fuel tank and sub‑panel.
• Electrical installation (conduit, wiring, grounding, load testing) and civil work (concrete pads, bollards, striping).
• Required permits (State Fire Marshal, SCAQMD, local), safety plan, prevailing‑wage compliance, and documentation of as‑built drawings and O&M manuals.
