The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is announcing its intention to issue a sole source award to Montgomery County Transfer Station for the management of large waste items that are no longer operational or serviceable. The CPSC currently uses Montgomery County Transfer Station for this service and requires continuation of the existing service through a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition, and interested parties may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. • The service involves the recycling or disposal of items that are no longer serviceable. • The CPSC requires a five-year BPA for the continuation of the existing service. • Montgomery County Transfer Station is the only responsible source available for this type of service. • The procurement will be awarded under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)1.
