Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify sources that can provide microbiological laboratory testing services, specifically USP General Chapter <797> environmental and personnel sampling. The contractor will be responsible for supplying testing materials, performing analyses, and delivering results that comply with USP standards. The services will support the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System's (VANEOHS) Compounded Sterile Preparations Program.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing microbial growth media plates and other testing materials
• Performing sample incubation and analysis
• Delivering results that comply with USP General Chapter <797>
• Maintaining accreditation by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) as an environmental microbiology laboratory
• Complying with USP General Chapters <797> and <800>
The contractor will be expected to provide these services for a base year plus three option years.
