Description
This opportunity is for the renovation and upgrade of the Imperial County Information & Technical Services office located at 940 Main St., Suite 201, El Centro, CA. The work includes interior demolition, new drywall, acoustic insulation, vinyl plank flooring, acoustic wood panels, ceiling tile system replacement, new HVAC thermostats, electrical upgrades, painting, and a new interior wall with a solid‑core door. The contract is a public‑works bid with an estimated construction cost of $80 k and a competitive bidding process requiring a 10 % bid bond and performance/payment bonds. The project must be completed within 25 working days after award.
• Full interior demolition (windows, doors, carpet, sheetrock, ceiling grit system)
• Installation of new 5/8″ Type‑X drywall, sound‑proof insulation, and acoustic wood panels
• Electrical upgrades: new receptacles, LED fixtures, data conduit, and Venstar thermostats
• Flooring: sound‑control underlayment and vinyl‑plank flooring (~1,140 sf)
• Painting of walls with Farrow & Ball “Hague Blue No. 30” and finishing of doors
