Body Removal and Transport Services

The County of Sarasota is seeking a contractor to provide professional removal and transport of deceased individuals across Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties. The contractor must respond quickly to death scenes, transport remains safely to the designated morgue, and meet all legal, safety, training, documentation, and professionalism requirements. The contractor will be required to provide trained staff, proper vehicles, and appropriate equipment. • The contractor must have a Removal Service License issued by the Board of Funeral, Cemetery and Consumer Services. • The contractor must have at least two years of experience providing body removal and transport services. • The contractor must provide a minimum of two references demonstrating their experience. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The contractor must participate in any training deemed necessary by the Medical Examiner's Office. • The contractor must provide appropriate vehicles and related equipment for the performance of the services.
