Description
The Department of State is seeking a contractor to provide VPN, Internet Services, and Circuitry for three separate circuits (VNET, DTSPO, and VNET WiFi) for the U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The contractor must provide dedicated leased line channels and circuitry for connecting the American Consulate General in Jeddah and remote U.S. Consulate Annex locations data links. The contractor must also provide internet services and ensure excellent Quality of Service (QOS) for the connection. The contract will be for a one-year period from the date of the contract award and a notice to proceed, with two 12-month optional periods of performance.
Some key requirements include:
• Providing dedicated (not shared or bundled) leased channel high-speed access to the Internet
• Ensuring full contracted bandwidth availability 24X7X365 from the originator side to the ISP’s internet gateway
• Providing a symmetrical internet connection, allowing upload and download data transfers simultaneously at the same speed
• Permitting the transit of all Internet Protocol (IP) protocols without filters or proxies
• Providing a block of sixteen (16) public internet IP addresses on a single subnet for Internet services
• Ensuring fault-tolerance Fiber Optic connectivity to the very end at the U.S. Consulate General compound Telecommunications Service Entrance Facilities (TSEF) Room
