Engineering Services for Arc Flash Study at the Power Plant

The City of Ames is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide electrical engineering services for an Arc Flash Study at the Power Plant. The study will include analyzing the plant's internal electrical distribution and protection system, performing field verification, analysis, and reporting, and providing arc flash labels and optional training. The selected firm will be required to provide a final report, short circuit and coordination results, time-current characteristic curves, and complete system model files. The firm will also be responsible for providing electronic label files, which will be printed and applied by City staff. * The scope of work includes the existing MCC, UPS, and 110 VAC distribution * The study will be performed using industry-standard platforms such as SKM, ETAP, or CYME * The firm will be required to provide a detailed cost breakdown and a not-to-exceed total amount * The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities * The selection process will be based on the firm's qualifications, experience, and proposed timeline
