Description
The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) is seeking information on acquiring services of an airplane that can carry large and oversized cargo, including space launch vehicles. The airplane should be under development as a civilian aircraft as of June 2025 and be capable of entering service by December 31, 2035. The desired airplane should be able to provide at least 2,000 hours and not more than 7,500 hours of airplane time for at least 2 and not more than 5 years.
• The airplane should be capable of carrying cargo with dimensions that cannot be readily transported in an airplane due to size.
• The airplane should be able to provide and supplement large and oversized fixed wing air cargo transportation services to support the readiness and logistical needs of the Department.
• The airplane should be under development as a civilian aircraft as of June 2025.
• The airplane should be capable of entering service by December 31, 2035.
