The North Carolina Department of Public Safety – NC National Guard (NCNG) Construction Facilities Management Office (CFMO) is seeking a designer for the installation of a new diesel-powered backup generator at the Tarheel ChalleNGe Academy in Salemburg. The scope of work includes site work, concrete pads, security fencing, and new underground electrical feeders. The project must follow both State and Federal guidelines, and the design team should use specific references as the basis for design and construction requirements. • The project requires a complete installation of a new diesel-powered backup generator to service an existing 1000-amp Main Distribution Panel (MDP). • The generator must be integrated into the facilities’ main electrical system via a new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). • The scope of work includes all required site work, concrete pads, security fencing, and new underground electrical feeders. • The project will follow both State and Federal guidelines. • The design team should use specific references as the basis for design and construction requirements.
