Atmosphere-Controlled Horizontal Tube Furnace with Vacuum Accessories

The Texas A&M University System is seeking bids for the purchase of a horizontal tube furnace for the Bush Combat Development Complex. The furnace must be capable of continuous operation at a maximum of 1700°C and include features such as a double-walled dual-shell construction, air-cooling system, and high-purity fibrous block graded insulation. The system must also include a programmable controller, atmosphere end seals, and all necessary interconnects. • The furnace must accommodate a process tube with a minimum Inner Diameter (I.D.) of 3.125 inches. • The heated length must be a minimum of 12 inches. • The system must include a microprocessor-based programmable PID controller and phase angle fired SCR power controller. • The system must include dual Type “B” thermocouples and an independent over-temperature protection system.
