Description
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is requesting bids for the replacement of outboard motors, motor controls, and motor monitoring (gauges) on a law enforcement vessel. The project includes the installation of two new Mercury 250 horsepower outboard motors, a Mercury Vessel View System, and dual Mercury DTS motor controls. The work must be completed before May 1, 2026, and a sea trial on Ohio waters of Lake Erie will be conducted prior to acceptance of the completed work. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• The vessel is a 2011 26' Boston Whaler Justice Center Console boat
• The new outboard motors and rigging must be installed per manufacturer's guidelines
• The contractor must provide a comprehensive materials list and name the Mercury Master Certified Technician overseeing the project
• The contractor must transport the boat to and from the work site, unless located within 120 driving miles from Fairport, OH
• The contract includes a requirement for a sea trial on Ohio waters of Lake Erie prior to acceptance of the completed work
