Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (USFS) is soliciting quotes for a chipper for the East Zone (Regions 1, 2, and 4) to support local, regional, and national fire suppression, all-hazard incidents, and prescribed fire project work. The solicitation is for a Multiple Award Incident Blanket Purchase Agreement (I-BPA) and is set aside for small business concerns. The USFS is looking for vendors who can provide a chipper that meets the minimum requirements specified in the solicitation. The chipper will be used for fire suppression and other incidents, and the vendor must be able to provide the chipper and its operator for an extended period. The USFS will evaluate quotes based on operational acceptability, price reasonableness, and past performance dependability risk. • The chipper must meet the minimum requirements specified in the solicitation. • The vendor must be able to provide the chipper and its operator for an extended period. • The USFS will evaluate quotes based on operational acceptability, price reasonableness, and past performance dependability risk. • The solicitation is for a Multiple Award Incident Blanket Purchase Agreement (I-BPA) and is set aside for small business concerns. • The USFS is looking for vendors who can provide a chipper that meets the minimum requirements specified in the solicitation.

Budget estimate

$25,000 – $100,000

Based on the information provided, it is difficult to estimate the exact budget for this solicitation. However, the USFS is soliciting quotes for a chipper, which is a type of equipment that can be used for fire suppression and other incidents. The budget will depend on the number of hours the chipper is used, the type of incidents it is used for, and the rates specified in the solicitation. Assuming an average rate of $100 per hour for the chipper, and an average of 500 hours of use per year, the estimated budget would be $50,000 per year. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific terms of the contract and the number of hours the chipper is used.
