Medical Waste Disposal Services

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking a contractor to provide infectious waste disposal services for the Federal Medical Center Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts. The contractor will be responsible for collecting, removing, and disposing of infectious medical waste, and providing certified disposal documentation for each completed removal. The contract will be an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices, and will include a base year with four option years for renewal. The contractor must comply with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing infectious medical waste removal. • The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, vehicles, containers, and materials necessary for the collection, removal, and disposal of infectious medical waste. • The contractor must furnish all supplies for the safe disposal of infectious medical waste, including receptacles, plastic bags, puncture-resistant, and leak-proof sharp containers. • The contractor must provide contact information for inquiries and certified disposal documentation for all hauls conducted. • The contractor must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing infectious medical waste removal.
