Description

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Northwest is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of providing comprehensive receiving, transfer, and disposal services for large quantities of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The materials will be generated from a major, long-term construction project. The expected duration of the project is eight years. The services required include receiving, transfer, and disposal of upland excavated soils, dredge spoils, building demolition materials, and generic construction and demolition (C&D) debris. The estimated quantities of materials to be handled are up to 250,000 cubic yards per year for excavated/dredged material and up to 30,000 tons per year for solid demolition material. The primary receiving/transfer location must have barge access, offloading, and transfer systems to transport materials to a suitable upland disposal site. • The geographic region for the project is King, Pierce, Kitsap, or Mason Counties, Washington. • The logistical capabilities required include barge access, offloading, and transfer systems. • The specific transfer station location will be finalized at a later date. • Interested parties are invited to submit a capability package containing company profile, SAM.gov registration, and industry feedback.

Budget estimate

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not provide a specific budget or payment amount. However, based on the scope of the project, which includes receiving, transfer, and disposal of large quantities of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, the budget could be substantial. The estimated quantities of materials to be handled are up to 250,000 cubic yards per year for excavated/dredged material and up to 30,000 tons per year for solid demolition material. The budget could be influenced by factors such as the cost of disposal, transportation, and labor. A rough estimate for the budget could be in the range of $10 million to $50 million per year, depending on the actual costs and the duration of the project.
