Description
The Lynwood Unified School District is seeking a qualified roofing contractor to replace the roofs on eight buildings (B, D, E, F, G, H, I, K) and associated walkways at Abbott Elementary School. The work includes full demolition of existing built‑up roofing, repair or replacement of wood deck, installation of a hot‑applied SBS‑modified bituminous membrane (Tremco POWERply Endure 100 system), new gutters, downspouts, flashings, and re‑installation of roof‑mounted equipment. The District will supply the primary membrane and related products under a CMAS contract; the contractor must provide all labor, additional materials, bonding, insurance, and comply with California Labor Code, prevailing‑wage, DVBE goals, and extensive safety and environmental requirements. The contract is a firm‑price award with a 10 % bid security, 100 % performance and payment bonds, and a 50‑day construction window beginning after the Notice to Proceed (mid‑June 2026). Late completion incurs $450 per day liquidated damages. Key points include:
