Strengthening community engagement and quality improvement of HIV/AIDS services in Sierra Leone under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking applications for a grant to strengthen community engagement and quality improvement of HIV/AIDS services in Sierra Leone. The goal of this program is to improve HIV care and services for a better client experience and ultimately improve health outcomes through PEPFAR site and service monitoring. The project will focus on community engagement and quality improvement of HIV/AIDS services in approximately 96 PEPFAR service sites across 7 districts in Sierra Leone. The applicant will be responsible for developing and conducting an assessment and reporting community engagement and quality improvement system that reflects clients' experience in receiving quality HIV services in Sierra Leone. Key areas of focus include HIV prevention services, testing services, treatment services, service provider perceptions, attitudes, practices, and client satisfaction with services provided. • The grant will support a project that aims to improve HIV care and services in Sierra Leone. • The project will focus on community engagement and quality improvement of HIV/AIDS services. • The applicant will be responsible for developing and conducting an assessment and reporting community engagement and quality improvement system. • The project will involve collaboration with community representatives, healthcare providers, clients, government stakeholders, and facility managers. • The grant will provide an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $350,000 for Year 1.
