Description
Luzerne County is seeking proposals from qualified companies for forensic drug testing services. The successful vendor will provide forensic laboratory urinalysis and oral fluid testing, including screening for the presence of controlled substances and attempted adulteration of the specimen. The vendor must be HHS/SAMHSA certified and provide all supplies and shipping costs. The contract term is one year with a possible one-year extension.
• The vendor will provide timely testing results for both positive and negative specimens and provide statistical reports as designated and requested by Probation Services.
• The vendor will provide adequate stock of all supplies necessary for Probation service employees to conduct urine screenings on site or in the field.
• The vendor will provide supplies and carrier arrangement for specimen shipping to the laboratory.
• Confirmations of positive screenings will be via Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry.
• All samples will receive validity testing, including creatine, specific gravity, and pH, at no extra charge.
• Positive test results will be immediately faxed after being certified by scientists.
• The vendor will provide online access to test results and all reports.
• Customer service and certifying scientists will be available weekdays to answer questions.
• Certifying scientists will be available for court appearances if necessary.
• The vendor will provide program statistics/summaries, such as positive/negative rates, as designated by Probation Services monthly.
