NRCS-Southern Nevada National Resources Inventory (NRI) Data Collection Services

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking a contractor to provide National Resources Inventory (NRI) data collection services for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Southern Nevada. The contractor will be responsible for collecting data on landscape information, soil component determinations, ecological site assignments, and other related attributes. The data will be collected in accordance with the standards outlined in the National Resources Inventory Grazing Land On-Site Data Collection, Handbook of Instructions. The contractor will be required to enter the data into hand-held computers using NRCS-approved software and submit it to the server at Iowa State University Center for Survey Statistics and Methodology. Some key points to consider: • The contract is for a base period of 12 months with four one-year option periods. • The contractor must have experience with NRI services and demonstrate technical expertise in grazing land plant identification, grazing land inventory methods, and describing soil properties and features. • The contractor must have the necessary personnel and equipment to collect data in remote areas, including 4-wheeled vehicles and hiking gear. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal laws and regulations, including those related to anti-discrimination and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
