Rock Salt

Sarpy County is seeking proposals for the supply and delivery of crushed rock salt for the Public Works Department. The contract will be for a one-year period with four one-year options. The vendor will be required to provide pricing for two separate conditions: Off-Peak (March through October) and Peak (November through February). The county estimates purchasing 1,500 tons of crushed rock salt during the peak season and 3,500 tons during the off-peak season. The vendor must ensure that the rock salt meets the specified chemical composition, gradation, and moisture content requirements. • The contract will be awarded based on factors such as compliance with requirements, price, ability to perform, and quality of previous performance. • The vendor must provide a certificate of insurance and comply with the residency verification requirements. • The vendor must submit an invoice to the county for work completed based on the amounts specified in the bid. • The county reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor informalities.
