The North Carolina Department of Public Safety - NC National Guard (NCNG) – Construction Facilities Management Office (CFMO) is seeking design services for the Red Springs Readiness Center & Field Maintenance Shop – Electrical Upgrades project. The objective of this project is to upgrade the electrical systems for the NC National Guard’s Red Springs Readiness Center and Field Maintenance Shop. The scope of work includes ensuring that all devices, panels, and wiring comply with current building codes, increasing the load capacity & distribution panel capabilities, consolidating all panels into central locations, rerouting select electrical conduits, and installing a Manual Transfer Switch for standby generator operation. • The project is contingent upon receipt of Federal and State funds. • The NCNG will provide planning documents and other related program documents. • The design team should use the NC State Construction Manual, Army Regulation 420-1, and other references as basis for design and construction requirements. • The proposing firm must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina. • The selection committee will consider factors such as specialized expertise, past performance, adequate staff, and proposed design approach.
