Description
The City of Salina is seeking an engineering consulting firm to evaluate, design, and support construction of replacements for three deteriorated corrugated‑metal‑pipe culverts on Fairdale Road. The effort includes reviewing existing drainage studies, updating hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, developing design alternatives, preparing construction documents, assisting with easement acquisition, and coordinating utility relocations. The selected consultant will also provide bid assistance and construction‑phase services as negotiated.
• Review and verify existing 2008 drainage study and on‑site conditions.
• Perform updated 25‑year storm hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including downstream box‑culvert interactions.
• Develop design alternatives, specifications, and construction drawings for three 28‑in × 40‑in CMP culverts.
• Assist with temporary/permanent drainage easements, legal descriptions, and utility relocation planning.
• Support the City through bid preparation, construction observation, and post‑design services.
