EIE485 Tree Clearing, Stockpiling, and Forestry Mulching Services

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a contractor to provide tree clearing, mulching, and related services within an area of approximately 44 acres on Eielson Air Force Base. The purpose of this clearing is to provide site access for a geotechnical site investigation. The contractor will be expected to mulch trees and brush into chips no larger than 3 feet long by 3 inches wide and spread them within the project areas in piles no thicker than 6 inches tall. The performance period will be approximately 120 calendar days. • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. • The contractor must have experience with tree clearing and mulching services. • The contractor must be able to work in difficult terrain, including soft, boggy ground, standing water, and steep slopes. • The contractor must be able to coordinate with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
