Tower Shelter Building - Parsonsburg

The County is seeking bids from qualified Vendors for the replacement of an existing tower shelter building with a new 184 square foot prefabricated building and generator. The scope of work includes acquiring and installing the building and generator, installing a new foundation, installing systems for the building, installing a new grounding ring, installing new cable tray and support, installing a new fence, trimming or removing trees, and demolishing the existing building, generator, and piles. The successful vendor will be required to provide a one-year guarantee of workmanship and materials, and to make good any defects that may occur during that period. Some key points to consider: • The project consists of replacement of an existing utility building and generator serving the existing communications tower. • The scope of work includes acquiring and installing the building and generator, and demolishing the existing building and generator. • The successful vendor must be licensed to perform work in the state of Maryland. • The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible vendor meeting the specifications. • The county reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid documents.
