Microbial Source Tracking for Human (HF183), Avian(GFD) and Gull (GULL2) Genetic Markers by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Assays Services as required for Water Resources Division

The City of Santa Monica's Water Resources Division is seeking a United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) approved laboratory to provide Microbial Source Tracking (MST) analysis from water samples for Human (HF183), Avian (GFD) and Gull (GULL2) genetic markers by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays. The laboratory will provide a complete sampling kit and process the samples within 3 weeks. The City is looking for a laboratory with at least 5 years of experience in similar work. • The laboratory must be USEPA approved. • The laboratory must have at least 5 years of experience in similar work. • The laboratory must provide a complete sampling kit. • The laboratory must process the samples within 3 weeks. • The City will provide water samples for analysis. • The laboratory will provide a report consisting of the presence or absence of Human (HF183), Avian(GFD) and Gull (GULL2) genetic markers along with the concentration of these bacteria.
