Medical Director Services for Chesapeake Juvenile Services and Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare

The City of Chesapeake is seeking licensed medical providers to serve as Medical Directors for two distinct departments: Chesapeake Juvenile Services and Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare. The Medical Director will oversee and assess clinical services, ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and maintain the highest standards of care for their designated facility. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with the option to renew. The City reserves the right to award a contract for one or both departments, based on the best interest of the City. • The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the medical care and health services provided to juveniles in detention and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. • The Medical Director will provide clinical services, including assessments, chart reviews, and documentation. • The Medical Director will ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, including CMS and the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice. • The Medical Director will maintain the highest standards of care for their designated facility. • The Medical Director will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide leadership and oversight for the agency's health services and staff.
