FY27 Joint Base Lewis-McChord Yakima Training Center Microgrid

This Sources Sought/Capability Request for Information seeks firms capable of designing and constructing a resilient, islandable microgrid at the Yakima Training Center (YTC) to power the Digital Multipurpose Range Complex. The project involves a 1,300 kWdc photovoltaic array, a 1,000 kW/8,000 kWh battery energy storage system, a 775 kW propane‑fueled generator with a 12,500‑gallon storage tank, and roughly 11 miles of high‑voltage underground electrical and telecommunications ductbank. The work will be performed under an IDIQ multiple‑award task‑order contract, allowing multiple contractors to compete on individual task orders nationwide.
