Description
The City of Lubbock is seeking a qualified vendor to supply, install, program, and test twenty‑seven (27) Vehicle Movement Area Transponders (VMATs) for airport ground‑vehicle tracking under the FAA Surface Awareness Initiative. The contract includes full hardware delivery, all necessary components, licensing applications (FAA, ICAO, FCC), map acquisition, 24/7/365 support, and compliance with multiple FAA and FCC regulations. The vendor must provide warranties for hardware and installation, and the project is funded by the Federal Aviation Administration.
• Provide 27 external‑mount VMAT units with complete installation kits
• Program, test, and integrate each unit into the FAA SAI environment
• Obtain all required federal (FAA, ICAO, FCC) approvals and licenses
• Deliver detailed project pricing (unit, installation, programming, testing)
• Offer 24/7/365 support and warranty for hardware and services
• Ensure compliance with Advisory Circular 150/5220‑26, Cert Alert 25‑01, PGL 24‑01, and related regulations.
