OVERHAUL OF CATERPILLAR MARINE DIESEL ENGINE ONBOARD USCG CUTTERS

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking sources capable of providing Caterpillar full service authorized/certified technical services to repair, maintain, and overhaul CAT ship's service and main propulsion diesel engines onboard Coast Guard cutters. The contractor shall provide remanufactured main propulsion diesel engines for various class vessels in accordance with OEM standards. The remanufactured CAT Engines will include CAMPAR testing, engine timing synchronization, engine valve rotators, and vibration analysis. Key requirements include: • Providing remanufactured main propulsion diesel engines for Seagoing and Coastal Buoy Tenders, Inland and River Tenders, and Tugs class vessels • Performing maintenance and overhauls onboard the cutter class vessels • Using genuine CAT approved parts necessary to complete the overhauls • Having access to Caterpillar proprietary components and certified technicians • Having a minimum of 6 years of experience on the system identified
