Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet is seeking the services of attorneys to represent the Cabinet in various legal matters. The selected attorney will provide legal advice, representation, and other services as needed. The scope of work includes representation in court, administrative actions, title work, and miscellaneous legal services. The Cabinet is looking for an attorney with experience in handling similar cases and a strong understanding of the legal requirements involved. The contract is expected to be for a period of 24 months, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional 24-month periods.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Representation of the Cabinet in court and administrative actions
• Providing legal advice and assistance to the Cabinet
• Conducting title examinations and preparing title opinions
• Handling condemnation cases and other miscellaneous legal matters
• Collaborating with the Cabinet's staff and other attorneys as needed
• Maintaining accurate records and submitting quarterly status reports
