Aero Club Mechanic

The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to perform aircraft maintenance tasks for the Elmendorf Aero Club. The contractor will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance duties, including inspections, repairs, and general maintenance of aircraft. The contractor must have an FAA mechanic certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings, as well as inspection authorization. The contractor will also be required to have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be familiar with 14 CFR part 43. The contract will be awarded as a Multiple Award BPA, and the contractor will be required to perform tasks on an ongoing basis. Some of the specific tasks include: • Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and aircraft inspections • Maintaining aircraft logbooks • Providing instruction and expertise to part-time maintenance staff • Coordinating with the Aero Club Manager to ensure scheduled maintenance tasks are completed • Providing daily maintenance status reports • Reviewing aircraft discrepancies and assisting members/staff with questions regarding aircraft condition or airworthiness
