Psychological Screening Services

The City of Tampa seeks a licensed clinical psychologist to conduct pre‑employment psychological screenings, interviews, and related consulting for its Police Department and Fire Rescue. The contractor will evaluate roughly 110 applicants annually, provide written reports, conduct independent re‑evaluations, offer specialized assessments for special units, deliver workshops, and be available for emergency counseling. Services must be performed during normal business hours, with rapid turnaround on reports and the ability to respond to appointment requests within 24 hours. The contract is for an indefinite period but is structured around an annual volume of examinations. • Perform MMPI‑2, NEO‑PI‑R, PAI, Rotter’s, STAXI, and other assessments. • Conduct 30‑60 minute clinical interviews and produce detailed suitability reports. • Provide independent re‑evaluation by a designated Lead Psychologist for any non‑cleared applicant. • Offer consulting, training, workshops, and on‑call emergency counseling for police and fire personnel and their families. • Submit reports via secured email within one week of each examination; urgent “not fit” notifications within 24 hours. • Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and secure handling of test materials.
