Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from vendors interested and capable of providing repair services for a 2016 Chevrolet Express wheelchair van. The van requires complete brake repair and has 180,575 miles. The repair is essential to the daily mission of the Veterans Transportation Service, which provides transport to Veteran patients between campuses and to and from their residences. The contractor shall furnish all parts, installation, and labor for the repair, and the brake system repair will include a parts warranty by the manufacturer.
Key requirements include:
• Removing and replacing all necessary parts to bring the brake system to operation as per design
• Coordinating repairs with the Transportation Supervisor
• Including all labor, parts, and service fees in the cost of the contract
• Testing the vehicle for performance and leaks
• Accepting responsibility for the vehicle "As is" and bringing it back to engine drivability
