The Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) requires the demolition and full replacement of the existing Main Gate Entrance (Building 680), which was originally constructed in 1960 and is now beyond its useful service life. The new Entrance Portal will modernize site access, enhance security posture, improve operational efficiency, and support current and future Laboratory missions. The scope of work includes demolition, site preparation, foundations, structural construction, architectural construction, roadway modifications, utility installation and tie-ins, security infrastructure integration, sidewalks, paving, lighting, signage, striping, testing, casework, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, landscaping, and commissioning. The contractor will also be responsible for coordinating the delivery, relocation, installation, anchoring, and connection of two government-furnished security booths.
