The City of Fresno is seeking qualified lessees to lease approximately 305.88 acres of city‑owned land in Southwest Fresno for a four‑year term, with two optional one‑year extensions. The lease is “as‑is” and the lessee will be responsible for all agricultural operations, including land preparation, planting, harvesting, equipment, insurance, taxes, and compliance with strict water‑quality and environmental regulations. The property includes an irrigated parcel that must use recycled undisinfected secondary effluent and a “stillage” parcel where no fertilizer or soil amendment may be applied. The lessee will pay an annual rent based on a per‑acre valuation (approximately $150 k per year) in quarterly installments.
• Lease of ~306 acres (157.79 ac + 148.09 ac) for non‑food, non‑human‑consumption crops (Sudan grass, sorghum, silage corn, hay, etc.).
• Mandatory use of city‑provided recycled water on the appurtenant parcel; strict set‑back, infiltration, and mosquito‑control requirements.
• Four‑year lease term (possible two one‑year extensions), with quarterly rent payments and extensive insurance and indemnity obligations.
