Swinburne Ice Rink Roof Replacement Project

The City of Albany is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide professional engineering services related to precast concrete repair and roof replacement to the Swinburne Ice Rink in the City of Albany. The project includes the replacement of the existing roof with a new "Cool" 30-year EPDM roof system, repairs to the precast concrete structure, and the removal and reinstallation of solar panels. The selected firm will be responsible for providing all data collection, preliminary and final plan development, and engineering services as required for the project. Key responsibilities include attending project meetings, conducting site visits, developing construction drawings and technical specifications, and providing construction administration services. • The project is expected to start in November 2025 and be completed by August 2026. • The total project budget is approximately $700,000. • The City of Albany is encouraging Minority Business Enterprises and Women's Business Enterprises to submit proposals. • The selected firm will be required to execute a contract with the City of Albany and provide proof of insurance. • The project includes multiple phases, including concept development, design development, contract document phase, bid phase, construction administration phase, and project close-out.
